Well now…life has certainly been demanding lately. Sarge has taken on some additional hands – as in about 16.7 x 3 of them. This is our favorite. She’s a sweet girl. We spent Sunday morning giving the troopers a break by taking on the daily feeding duty.
This is one of the boys and he is younger, more spirited, but a lover boy!
We then headed off to see our good friends and had a celebratory meal – she also very kindly washed and blocked my version of her design. Gorgeous!!!
I really cannot understand how her mind can make these patterns come to life! It really is a dramatic piece and yet the knitting was not that complex. Merely lengthy. I want very much to make another in a lace weight but suspect that will be put on the back burner for awhile.
We also managed to do some test firing! (Which also permitted me to do some damned shooting after a very long break from same. Over 100 rounds required to get the fundamentals back…sheesh. Mind you, in an emergency you do what is needed but I was stunned at the loss of performance…)
VIDEO0288 from LauraB on Vimeo.

And then Sarge participated in the Gear shoot because he wanted to see how well he could do with his trusty old .22 –
All in all, things have been good but now a lot of work to do and people to deal with. My nerves are frazzled but trying to stay on top of everything. Soon…a review of this slick little number. Officially on the Good Friend gift list.
Onward with the day – just needed a break from the nonsense at work. And I need a longer break, to be honest…I’ve lost nearly all interest in the job. Must reset my proper sense of capitalistic form – a trade of work for money. It isn’t their fault I’m burned out. It is mine. I just need to deal with it.
Hope your week is a great one!
